Job Purpose:
Define and execute the business development strategy for the Contract Logistics unit with a focus on eCommerce and omnichannel solutions, driving profitable growth through new business opportunities, expansion of key accounts, and the design of flexible, technology-enabled logistics solutions aligned with evolving customer expectations and digital market trends.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement the Contract Logistics commercial strategy at regional/national level, with a strong focus on eCommerce and omnichannel clients.
Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within retail, eCommerce, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) sectors.
Lead tender processes (RFPs/RFQs), including omnichannel solution design (B2B/B2C), pricing, and client negotiations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, IT, finance) to build scalable and customer-centric value propositions.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, marketplaces, and business partners.
Analyze market trends (last mile, same/next-day delivery, returns management) to anticipate growth opportunities.
Ensure achievement of commercial targets: revenue, margin, pipeline, and conversion rate.
Oversee the successful transition and implementation of new operations, ensuring speed, accuracy, and service excellence.
Drive innovation in logistics solutions (automation, digitalization, fulfillment centers, last mile, reverse logistics).
Lead and develop business development and consultative sales teams focused on digital and customer-centric solutions.
Prepare executive reports and monitor KPIs focused on service level, order fulfillment, delivery times, and customer satisfaction.
Who we are looking for:
+10 years of experience in Contract Logistics, Supply Chain, or 3PL environments with strong exposure to eCommerce or omnichannel operations.
Proven experience working with retail, eCommerce, or D2C clients is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles within Business Development, Sales, or Operations.
Experience managing key accounts and closing high-value, fast-paced projects.
Strong expertise in end-to-end omnichannel logistics solution design (fulfillment, last mile, returns).
Knowledge of eCommerce models (B2C, marketplaces, D2C) and fulfillment strategies.
Experience in pricing, financial modeling, and business case development.
Experience in B2B commercial processes (tenders, complex negotiations).
Knowledge of automation, WMS, OMS, TMS, and digital logistics technologies.
Advanced English.
Strategic leadership with strong digital and customer-centric mindset.
