Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

The role:

We are seeking Education and Care Practitioners to join our Acton Education and Care Service. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team to deliver a quality play-based program for children’s development in Long Day Care.

In this role, you will:

Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.

Provide meaningful and age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and growth.

Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

Create engaging and welcoming room setups that promote exploration and learning

Document and reflect on children’s learning and development

Collaborate with families to build strong partnerships, share insights about children’s learning, and ensure continuity between home and the service.

Commit to your own professional growth and development

Always work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework

What you’ll bring:

An ACECQA-approved Certificate III Education and care.

Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated strong commitment to child safety

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, with willingness to learn and apply the Early Years Learning Framework

A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services)
