Title: Staff Software Engineer (Network)
Location: Remote with quarterly travel
Duration: 4-month contract to hire

Must Haves:
Infrastructure software engineer foundation
Domain expertise in networking
Software engineer first, understands how to run modern and networks, routing works, network management plains and construct the systems together.
Experience building software systems within a specific infrastructure domain
Ability to work with legacy systems and understand existing technology at a deep technical level
Job Nice to Haves:
Programming language flexibility; no specific language required
Experience with Python, Go, or Java preferred
About the Position / Current Initiatives: The organization is shifting from a public cloud-only strategy to a hybrid cloud infrastructure approach. The role contributes to modernizing infrastructure across a mix of legacy systems and newer technology, with a focus on automation, fortification, and understanding gaps in existing systems to inform new infrastructure design.
About the Team Structure + Culture: The team is part of a larger organization responsible for all technology infrastructure. Multiple teams own different horizontal layers of infrastructure. The team is executing an aggressive and technically challenging roadmap to build a hybrid cloud infrastructure that modernizes legacy systems while enabling cloud-native capabilities.
