You will join the Digital & Integrated Systems (D&IS) entity ( 3,000 employees), responsible for designing, deploying, and testing Alstom’s urban CBTC signalling solutions:

Urbalis Forward, deployed on more than 100 projects worldwide

Urbalis Fluence, our next-generation solution

First assignment: Automatic Train Control Designer (Fluence)

As part of the Fluence deployment team and operationally reporting to the Software Leader, you will adapt the Fluence platform to project needs while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Defining and documenting signalling subsystem specifications (architecture, functions, interfaces)

Designing custom functions and validating them during technical reviews

Configuring and implementing generic software using Alstom’s internal language

Debugging systems using virtual or physical test benches

Supporting validation teams and on-site teams

Investigating technical issues and defining corrective actions

Reporting on progress

Contributing to the department’s continuous improvement plan

Second assignment: Testing & Commissioning Engineer (M/F)

You will work close to the field and the customer to validate the system and ensure its commissioning.

Your responsibilities:

Participating in signalling system tests (functional, operational, performance)

Deploying equipment on site

Writing test procedures and reports

Analyzing results and managing non-conformities

Supporting system integration tests and project teams

Interfacing with customers and engineering teams

Ensuring compliance with safety rules (EHS)

You will contribute to the final validation and commissioning of systems on real projects, in a demanding and international technical environment.

Education & Experience

Engineering degree (general or embedded systems)

Good foundations in systems engineering (V-cycle, requirements, etc.)

Knowledge of critical systems (a plus)

Familiarity with Agile / DevOps / Software Development

Tools: DOORS, GitLab, Jenkins, Python / C++ / C#

Soft skills

Curiosity and analytical mindset

Proactive, willing to propose ideas and learn

Team spirit and good interpersonal skills

Comfortable in an international environment

Practical information

French and English required
