Snowflake Platform Engineer

Long-term Snowflake Engineering engagement with Enterprise Banking client !

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Snowflake Platform Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking and Finance client on a key transformation engagement. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and manage the Snowflake cloud data platform architecture

Implement and optimise data pipelines and integration processes

Monitor system performance, availability, and compute resource utilisation

Manage platform security, role-based access control, and data governance

Collaborate with data engineering teams to troubleshoot platform issues

Automate deployment and scaling processes within the data ecosystem

Provide technical leadership and promote best practices for Snowflake usage

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Snowflake Platform Engineer or Data Engineer

Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, clustering, and virtual warehouses

Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools

Expertise in data security, governance, and compliance standards

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage business stakeholders
