System Engineer – Navigation Systems & Flight Management System (FMS):

TXT e-Tech Srl, a company of the TXT Group, is seeking a candidate with proven experience in system engineering and software engineering applied to complex avionics systems, with a focus on:

Navigation Systems (TACAN, DME, VOR, etc.)

Flight Management Systems (FMS)

The selected candidate will join an integrated team working closely with a leading client in the aerospace sector, contributing to a program of strategic importance. Full-time on-site presence at the client’s headquarters is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze, define the architecture, design, and integrate Navigation and Flight Management System (FMS) systems for civil and/or military avionics platforms.

Define, allocate, and manage system requirements, ensuring their full traceability through tools such as IBM DOORS or equivalents.

Lead system engineering activities throughout the entire development cycle, from requirements definition to validation and integration.

Collaborate with the Software, Hardware, Verification, and Certification teams to ensure the correct implementation of system functionality.

Support and contribute to certification activities in accordance with DO-178C, ARP4754A, DO-254 standards, and applicable aviation regulations.

Draft and review technical project documentation (System Requirements, ICD, Architecture, Verification Plans, Test Specifications, etc.) in accordance with company and customer standards.

Participate in and lead design reviews, technical reviews, and project milestones, liaising directly with customers, partners, and technical stakeholders.

Provide technical support and mentoring to junior team members, contributing to the team’s growth and the improvement of development processes.

Essential Requirements:

Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related STEM disciplines.

At least 4/5 years of experience in the development of avionics systems, with a particular focus on Navigation Systems and Flight Management Systems (FMS).

Solid experience in applying system engineering processes throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Experience in requirements management and traceability using IBM DOORS or equivalent tools.

Excellent knowledge of major avionics and certification standards, including: DO-178C

In-depth knowledge of major avionics buses and communication protocols:

Experience in the integration, validation, and troubleshooting of complex avionics systems.

Ability to work independently in managing project activities and to coordinate technical interfaces between multidisciplinary teams.

Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.

The contract offered for this position is a permanent one, and the salary range for this position is between EUR 35.000 € and EUR 40.000 € gross per year

The grading/level will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate's profile and in accordance with the National Collective Labor Agreement (Metalworking Industry)
