Job Purpose:
The Claims Handler will primarily manage cargo-related insurance claims, including Freight, DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), and eCommerce claims, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant claims handling in line with Group policies and business objectives.
Your tasks:
Under limited supervision administer claims management processes and activities for cargo insurance claims (Freight, DHL Global Forwarding, and eCommerce) in line with overall business objectives and Group guidelines and policies
Support IRM Claims teams, including coordination of claims handling activities and operational support
Support team members in planning, reporting, and department metrics/dashboards on insurance claims and Enterprise Risk Management
Perform broad range of tasks and activities for variance, trend and outlier analysis to support business needs and special projects
Prepare presentations and communications with analysis of findings for senior management
Provide timely and effective administrative support to professionals to compile exposure and business information required for underwriting insurance programs, performing actuarial studies and meeting audit, compliance and regulatory requirements
Efficiently aggregate and present information for submission/applications
Gather data and information to support process enhancements and data-driven decision-making within the claims management platform
Follow up with internal partners including review of vendor insurance compliance
Your profile:
2+ years of experience in insurance claims handling, preferably in cargo, transport, or logistics claims
Degree in Law, Maritime Law or Transport Law, Business Law, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field;
Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting, data analysis, and dashboards
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with claims management systems is a plus
Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese would be a strong advantage
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
