Associate DevOps Engineer

Overview:

Responsibilities

Support the maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, or similar)

Assist with provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc) using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and participate in on-call rotations with senior support

Containerize applications and assist with Kubernetes or Docker Compose deployments

Write and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, or similar)

Collaborate with development teams to improve build, test, and release workflows

Contribute to documentation for runbooks, deployment procedures, and infrastructure diagrams

Participate in incident postmortems and help implement follow-up improvements

Required Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or systems/infrastructure role (internships count)

Foundational understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration

Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS preferred)

Basic experience with version control (Git)

Some exposure to containerization (Docker)

Comfortable writing basic scripts to automate repetitive tasks

Nice to Have

Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration

Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)

Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, etc)

Cloud certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.)

Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)

Soft Skills

Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn in a fast-moving environment

Good communication skills, comfortable asking questions and flagging blockers early

Methodical troubleshooting approach

Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
