DevOps Engineer

Overview:

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, reliable software delivery

Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

Own container orchestration platforms - deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters

Implement and maintain observability stacks - logging, metrics, and alerting (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, or similar)

Drive security best practices across infrastructure - secrets management, IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and compliance

Lead incident response efforts, conduct postmortems, and implement systemic improvements

Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, deployment frequency, and mean time to recovery (MTTR)

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal DevOps standards and documentation

Evaluate and introduce new tooling to improve engineering productivity

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience

Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix systems administration

Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred)

Production-level experience with Kubernetes and Docker

Solid Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)

Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go)

Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale

Strong understanding of networking (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, CDNs)

Nice to Have

Experience with service mesh technologies

Familiarity with GitOps workflows

Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience

Experience with database operations (backups, replication, performance tuning)

Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, HashiCorp Terraform Associate)

Background in software development or SRE practices
