Fixed term, Part time work.

Monday – Friday: 7am – 11am.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Student to join our Quality Department on a part-time basis. This role provides hands-on experience in quality assurance, laboratory testing, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement activities. Reporting to the Senior QA Engineer.

Job Duties

1) Conduct validation activities, sampling testing and CAPA associated with:

a. Product Development / Improvement

b. Manufacturing process development / changes

c. Corrective Actions

d. Customer Specific Requirements

2) Carry out Lab Titration tests, record results, and support day-to-day laboratory work

3) Ensure compliance with IATF-16949 & ISO 9001 requirements

4) Conduct MSA activities as required for all IMTE on site

5) Conduct lab performance testing in support of business needs

6) Manage the issuing and completion of NCRs using EQMS

7) Provide guidance on quality procedures to operations and design teams

8) Assist all departments with additional testing when required

9) Lead and support continual improvement projects/activities

10) Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

¨ Experience in a similar manufacturing or quality environment would be a strong advantage.

¨ Minimum NFQ Level 5 required (Leaving certificate), with Level 6 preferred. This role would suit students pursuing Engineering or Science degrees. The experience will focus on process engineering and control, electroplating/electrochemistry, and aspects of metallurgy and metrology, along with problem-solving within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

¨ Good mathematical and communication skills are necessary.

¨ Computer skills are required, particularly the ability to use spreadsheets and databases.

¨ Ability to work on projects with personnel at all levels of the organisation

¨ Knowledge of quality standards and continuous improvement tools is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided.

¨ Ability to learn and communicate new methodologies.

¨ Ability to use standard mechanical inspection instrument

¨ A high level of flexibility is required

¨ Candidates must be enthusiastic, pro-active in their approach, and able to take the initiative
