The Role:

Managers in our Alternative Investment Funds practice oversee and complete tax projects; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance for a variety of clients, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, fund of funds, hedge funds and family offices.

Managers can expect to:

Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns.

Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.

Engage in business development activities (i.e. prepare proposals, present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to market comprehensive tax strategies for prospective clients, etc.)

Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate the performance of Seniors, Associates, and Interns.

The Requirements:

4+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Alternative Fund experience;

Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree; Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred);

Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD);

Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with high-volume peak-season work;

Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset; and

Proficient use of technology.

Compensation and Benefits

Our firm offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our people. Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in San Francisco, the expected salary range for this role is $125,000 - $201,900. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.

Benefits: Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire.
