This role will be a part of the PACS business which is highly visible and one of our most significant portfolios within HID Global. The PACS products include intelligent controllers, readers, credentials and mobile access for physical access control. This position will report to the Director of Sales Engineering. As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for working with HID's world class family of channel partners driving integration and alignment with HID's products, brands, and services. The actions of this position will result in HID Global being the preferred technology of choice within partner organizations.

The ideal candidate has experience in the physical security industry, possesses strong technical and communications skills, working knowledge of HID’s PACS product portfolio, and a thorough understanding of technical product integration and navigating complex, corporate environments.

As our Pre Sales Consultant Benelux, you’ll support HID’s success by:

Covering the Benelux region

Supporting the sales team and partners closing deals with current and prospective Customers, organize regular conference calls and meetings accordingly

Identifying, driving, and optimizing revenue from business opportunities by leveraging HID technologies

Building trusting relationships with technology decision-makers and influencers. Gain a deep understanding of the channel partners’ technology and business strategy

Collaborating with HID Product Marketing and Engineering teams on the requirements and perspectives of our customers. Improving HID’s portfolio by providing regular partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management

Maintaining a strong technical command of the HID portfolio. Ability to learn new technical concepts by leveraging internal experts and external resources such as field experts and technical articles

Listening and understanding the overall goals of a customer, and how best to design a solution that will work in large scale diverse environments

Organizing demos and POC to properly represent HID during seminars, conferences and tradeshows

Maintaining a strong technical command of the HID portfolio. Ability to learn new technical concepts by leveraging internal experts and external resources such as field experts and technical articles

Your Experience and Background include:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in sales engineering, systems engineering, technical sales, or related field

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in physical access control systems

Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends

Understanding and experience of the access control and/or IT sales channel market preferred

Technical and market experience in IT security and network solutions with an emphasis on authentication preferred

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Strong technical aptitude and able to convey and understand technical concepts

Understanding of channel-based sales/marketing is a plus.

Location within an hour from an airport with international connections

Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment

Being able to dig deep into the world of bits and bytes to solve customer issues

BEng or BSc Degree within a technology related field preferred

Proven & verifiable track record of successful technical sales leadership

Demonstrated time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and complete short-term and/or long-term tasks and project assignments on time

Professional appearance and presentation required
