You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

providing clinical leadership to the Medical Ward to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.

providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.

accountability for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.

John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the northwest of Melbourne. With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 4 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.

Essential Criteria

Previous experience at ANUM level or equivalent

Current Registration with AHPRA

Working with Children check

Compliance with ACSQHC National standards

A strong commitment to developing in a management role

Ability to work cohesively within a team environment

Proven time management and prioritisation skills

Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management

Demonstrated HR management experience

Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
