If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.

Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.

In this role, you'll:

Working as part of a team delivering technical leadership, full‑stack development, architectural oversight, cloud‑based application design, data integration, analytics capability, CI/CD and DevOps uplift to support Transport for NSW’s strategic analytics solutions.

This role will see you drive the design, development and optimisation of full‑stack applications; architect and deploy cloud‑based applications and services; design database structures and ETL pipelines; perform advanced data analysis; embed CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps practices; translate complex business requirements into innovative technical solutions; mentor junior developers; and evaluate emerging technologies, with development opportunities across cloud architecture, technical leadership, advanced analytics, DevOps maturation, and enterprise‑scale solution design.

You will lead new ways of improving scalability, security, system performance and technical innovation in a matrixed, fast‑paced environment balancing full‑stack and analytics demands, integrating complex systems and data sources, translating sophisticated concepts for non‑technical stakeholders, and managing multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining architectural and cybersecurity compliance.

About you

Your extensive full‑stack development experience (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java), cloud architecture capability (AWS/Azure, IaC, CI/CD, DevOps), proficiency in database development and ETL pipelines (PostgreSQL, Redshift, Athena), and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills formed across Agile software engineering, data integration, cloud‑native development and enterprise solution delivery will see you excel in integrating complex systems, overcoming challenges related to evolving tools and frameworks, and bringing robust, scalable and maintainable technical solutions to lead to high‑performing applications, enhanced analytics capability, and improved decision‑making outcomes.

You’re recognized as an adept communicator, skilled at explaining complex concepts clearly, engaging diverse audiences, and contributing to organisation‑wide information‑sharing, experienced in full‑stack engineering, cloud deployment, DevOps practices, data modelling, ETL design, and cross‑team collaboration.
