About the Role
We’re looking for a Business & Operational Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Digital Enablement Centre (DEC) within the UK Defence account.
This is a high-impact, senior manager-level role focused on turning innovation into real, contract-ready outcomes. You will sit at the intersection of business development, operations, delivery and innovation, ensuring the DEC is not only adopted but actively shaping Defence capabilities.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Atos and our client's organisation, helping translate concepts into funded opportunities and operational delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
Driving Opportunity & Growth
Link DEC capabilities to Defence priorities, mission outcomes and live programmes
Support opportunity qualification, shaping and pipeline conversion
Contribute to bids (RFIs, ITTs) and help translate interest into funded scope
Operational Leadership
Act as the on-site DEC lead in Andover for key engagements and activities
Coordinate delivery across the DEC lifecycle: discover, define, build, prove, transition
Drive operational readiness, risk management and governance alignment
Stakeholder Engagement
Represent Atos confidently with senior military officers and client stakeholders
Build and maintain trusted relationships across industry partners and suppliers
Lead workshops, reviews, demonstrations and site engagements
Commercial & Delivery Alignment
Work with sales, finance and commercial teams to align opportunities to contracts and frameworks
Ensure delivery is commercially coherent, outcome-led and evidence-based
Support partner onboarding and cross-functional coordination
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Champion practical innovation, including the use of AI and automation
Help improve service efficiency, decision-making and delivery quality
Contribute to continuous improvement across DEC operations
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Experience
Experience shaping or supporting complex Public Sector / Defence opportunities
Proven contribution to bids, proposals and structured sales processes
Strong operational judgement in complex or secure environments
Ability to coordinate across technical, delivery and commercial teams
Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes
Key Strengths
Commercial awareness (pricing logic, delivery risk, frameworks)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Structured, organised and outcome-driven mindset
Ability to translate customer needs into actionable workstreams
Nice to Have
Experience within Defence, National Security or Public Sector transformation
Exposure to secure environments or integration facilities
Experience working with partner ecosystems or running demonstrations and site visits

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
Location: UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required.
