As a Manager, Clinical Project Management supporting the Clinical R&D team, you will support Clinical business goals and objectives through efficient, effective and comprehensive organizational processes, project management solutions, and/or process improvement initiatives. Plans, conducts and provides project management expertise to one or more projects, processes, or process improvement initiatives of significant importance and difficulty where the scope, complexity, risk, and investment involved requires the broad application of advanced knowledge
In this role, a typical day will include:
Works with cross-functional teams to develop plans, forecasts/budgets, and/or timelines (milestones) for technically complex projects
Leads Clinical FTE resourcing for project, study, and/or research activities
Facilitation of direct spend process for study and/or research activities
Delivers comprehensive tracking and monitoring of Clinical processes including visual reports
Supports development, implementation, and maintenance of Clinical metrics to help drive performance
As assigned, co-leads organizational processes related to:
Vendor evaluations and/or audits
Clinical procedures, work instructions, and/or job aids
Clinical objective planning, and/or tracking
Clinical training administration
Co-leads or facilitates Clinical sponsored process improvement initiatives
Provides operational support to functions participating in organizational projects, processes, and/or continuous improvement initiatives
Leads coordination and development of organizational process review meetings
Utilizes advanced knowledge of functional department dependencies to drive results.
Applies risk management strategies to drive results and escalates or mitigates risk as appropriate
Partners with functions outside of Clinical as required to deliver project, process, and/or initiative outcomes
Uses appropriate communication tools to ensure that customers are informed of project/process/initiative status as appropriate
Assists in creating presentations with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Prioritizes activities for successful project/process/initiative outcomes
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Advanced level of English
5 years of experience in a similar position
Experience in Clinical Research and Development
Experience as Operations and/or Project Manager
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Leadership experience
LSS Green Belt
