Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Customer Engagement
Proactively engage with leads and customers to understand their business requirements, challenges, and investment priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring trust and long-term engagement.
Evaluate customer requirements from both a technical feasibility and commercial/business viability standpoint.
Drive discussions and coordination throughout the entire project lifecycle, including customer visits and execution follow-ups.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification
Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities across industries such as Automotive, Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, Electrical, and Engineering sectors.
Track industry trends, expansion plans, greenfield/brownfield projects, and capital investment announcements.
Analyze customer investment patterns to identify opportunities for engineering and automation solutions.
Monitor competitor activities, emerging technologies, and market developments to stay ahead in the automation space.
Prepare and present market intelligence reports to support strategic decision-making.
Sales Coordination & Execution
Coordinate and track customer inquiries, RFQs, and sales leads effectively.
Work closely with the Technical Sales team for timely preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals.
Actively follow up with customers on quotations, proposals, and order status to drive closure.
Maintain and update CRM systems, sales pipelines, and customer databases.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Marketing teams to generate and qualify leads from campaigns, exhibitions, and digital platforms.
Coordinate participation in exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
Work closely with internal teams (technical, operations, and sales) to ensure seamless project progression.
Support smooth order handover and execution coordination with the Sales/Projects team.
Reporting & Planning
Schedule customer meetings, internal reviews, and presentations.
Prepare regular reports including sales updates, pipeline status, and lead tracking.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or industrial sales coordination.
Prior experience in Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, or related sectors preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
Excellent coordination, follow-up, and organizational capabilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel extensively for customer engagement and project execution support.
Work Experience
Understanding of RFQ processes and proposal management.
Exposure to industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation technologies.
Strong analytical mindset to assess both technical feasibility and business impact.
High level of curiosity and inquisitiveness to learn emerging technologies and automation trends.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Self-driven, energetic personality with a “go-getter” attitude.
