Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Lead Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday integrations, including Workday Studio and other integration frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade integrations across Workday HCM and/or Financials.
This role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead integration workstreams across full lifecycle implementations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Integration Design & Delivery
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday integrations across modules such as HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Benefits
Architect and implement scalable integration solutions using:
Workday Studio
Core Connectors
EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
Define integration patterns, data transformations, error handling, and monitoring strategies
2. End-to-End Implementation Ownership
Manage integration workstream across all phases:
Requirement gathering
Design
Build
Testing
Deployment
Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with best practices
3. Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration developers
Review design artefacts, code, and testing strategies
Drive adherence to integration standards and reusable frameworks
4. Integration Development & Support
Build and maintain integrations using Studio, EIB, and Web Services (REST/SOAP)
Develop and manage inbound/outbound integrations with third-party systems
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues ensuring system reliability
5. Stakeholder & Client Management
Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and external vendors
Conduct design workshops and solution discussions
Provide clear communication on delivery status, risks, and dependencies
6. Testing, Documentation & Governance
Define test strategy (unit, SIT, UAT) and ensure data accuracy and completeness
Maintain comprehensive documentation including integration design, mappings, and support guides
Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards
7. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimize existing integrations
Implement automation and performance improvements
Contribute to innovation in integration frameworks and delivery approach
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Workday Integration experience
Hands-on expertise in:
Workday Studio
EIB (inbound/outbound)
Core Connectors / Cloud Connect
Web Services (SOAP / REST)
XML, XSLT data transformations
Experience in at least 2–3 full lifecycle Workday implementations
Strong understanding of Workday HCM and/or financial modules
Proven experience in integration design and end-to-end delivery
Mandatory Certifications
