Role Purpose
As Senior IT Programme Manager you seek structure and open communication, you question, set an ambitious pace whilst also balancing the risk. You provide clarity and keep a constant eye on the time and budget while helping everyone on your team to do their very best work.
As an IT Programme Manager, you will be responsible for mobilising and leading major and complex IT programmes that deliver strategic change initiatives to the Musgrave business. You will be responsible for a number of project managers working to deliver the elements of the programme.
As part of your role, you will engage closely with the broader Musgrave Change and project management community and the IT Change Management Office (CMO).
We are looking for you to join the leadership team where the goal is to build a holistic view of projects and change, drive consistency and excellence in delivery and reporting, and increase successful project outcomes and adoption
** Please note that this role is a 12 month maternity leave Fixed Term contract
What you'll be doing
Responsibility for the management of a program/portfolio of projects. Their overall delivery, reporting and oversight
Mobilising and leading major and complex projects/programmes
Managing cross-functional teams, including internal and external resources
Oversee demand on resources
Manage capacity and ongoing/future demand
Leading project teams to understand the project goals and to complete project objectives
Provide leadership and project guidance to Project Managers
Understanding and managing project scope to deliver within the time & cost restraints, ensuring the process will be executed as designed, as well as identifying and communicating gaps
Analysing and managing project detail while simultaneously aligning the ‘big picture’ programme priorities with the priorities of the company and customer.
Developing and executing multiple strategic priorities and approaches to meet objectives & deliver results
Exceptional leadership and mentorship to implement large complex projects in a collaborative manner and resolve complex challenges.
Supplier & Contract Management – ensuring our suppliers meet project delivery milestones and manage IT contracts with suppliers in conjunction with the Vendor Management Office (VMO)
Working with the CMO Team to evolve delivery methodologies and build excellence in change management
Assisting with goal development and coaching of project managers to enable the growth of the team
What we're looking for
IT Orientated Degree
Project management qualification (PMP, Prince 2 etc.)
and/or
Agile qualification (Scrum.org, SAFe, ICAgile, Agile PM etc.)15+ years in project & programme management roles
Proven track record in project delivery and exceeding customer expectations
Waterfall and agile experience
Experienced in guiding projects of varying sizes from ideation through to delivery and benefits tracking with accountability for all phases of the project lifecycle Advanced knowledge of business operations and project/program management.
Excellent communicator, comfortable managing the expectations of customers as well as senior management and internal technical staff
Strategic and analytical thinker
Strong teamwork and leadership skills, an ability to create, communicate and support a common vision and direction
Excellent planning and organization skills, with the ability to confidently prioritize tasks & guide teams
Ability to build and foster strong, trusted working relationships
Contributes, promotes, and adopts new ideas and approaches
