Principal Consultant Cloud Adoption AI

Versent is seeking a Principal Consultant – Cloud Adoption & AI to lead strategic engagements that accelerate cloud transformation and AI-enabled modernisation for enterprise customers. This role sits at the intersection of cloud strategy, delivery leadership, and applied AI, helping clients move from experimentation to scaled adoption across cloud platforms and intelligent workloads.

You will act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, shaping cloud and AI roadmaps, driving adoption frameworks, and ensuring successful execution across complex transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Define and lead cloud adoption strategies across AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments

Develop enterprise AI adoption roadmaps (including GenAI, MLOps, and data-driven platforms)

Translate business problems into scalable cloud and AI-enabled solutions

Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and Heads of Digital/Data

Facilitate executive workshops on cloud operating models, AI readiness, and governance

Oversee design of cloud-native and AI-integrated architectures

Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and enterprise governance standards

Build frameworks for cloud operating models (FinOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering)

Drive organisational change required for cloud and AI adoption at scale

Support capability uplift through coaching, enablement, and thought leadership

Stay ahead of emerging AI trends, cloud-native technologies, and industry patterns

Contribute to internal IP, accelerators, and reusable adoption frameworks

Represent Versent in industry forums, client presentations, and technical communities

Required Experience & Skills

10+ years in technology consulting, cloud architecture, or enterprise transformation roles

Deep experience in at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also valued)

Proven experience leading cloud adoption or digital transformation programs

Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, GenAI patterns, and data platforms

Experience with cloud operating models (DevOps, platform engineering, FinOps)

Ability to engage at executive level and influence strategic decisions

Strong consulting background with excellent communication and facilitation skills

Desirable Experience

Experience designing or delivering enterprise GenAI solutions (e.g. copilots, RAG systems, AI assistants)

Background in regulated industries (financial services, government, utilities, or telecom)

Familiarity with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, etc.)

Certifications in cloud architecture (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS SA Pro, etc.)
