What you will do

As budget and finance analyst, you will provide financial advice and support across the department.

You will help teams make informed decisions through strong financial management and reporting.

You will:

support financial management processes, month-end activities and compliance requirements

prepare accurate reports that show financial performance and budget position

provide practical advice on financial policies, procedures and budget matters

contribute to high-quality briefs that support executive and ministerial decision-making

identify effective solutions that improve processes, outcomes and financial management.

About you

A qualification in policy, strategy or finance is desirable. Experience in public sector policy and financial management will help you succeed in this role.

You should also have:

strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills

advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and charts

effective communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships

a collaborative approach with a focus on inclusion, improvement and customer service.
