Job Overview
The Associate Marketing Manager, McCafé will play a key role in driving both brand and omni-channel marketing execution across the retail portfolio. This role bridges brand strategy and in-market activation, ensuring fully integrated, consumer-led plans that deliver business results across physical and digital environments.
This role will support end-to-end marketing delivery, from campaign development and innovation to omni execution across key retail partners.
This is a high-visibility role requiring strong cross-functional collaboration, attention to executional excellence, and the ability to translate brand strategy into impactful consumer and shopper experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Campaign Execution
Support development and execution of annual brand plans and integrated marketing campaigns for McCafé in retail
Partner with agencies and cross-functional teams to deliver breakthrough, through-the-line programs with strong ROI
Contribute to creative briefing, asset development, and deployment across channels
Support launch execution for innovation, including packaging, messaging, and commercialization
Omni-Channel Marketing & Retail Activation
Lead execution of omni marketing programs across key retailers, including national campaigns, account-specific activations, in-store merchandising, and digital/social elements
Develop and manage the omni marketing calendar aligned to brand priorities
Translate brand strategy into best-in-class shopper marketing and retail execution
Partner with Sales and Customer teams to tailor programs to banner-specific strategies
Own execution across B2B2C platforms, driving optimization, and scaling with clear measurement of impact on conversion and path to purchase
Planning, Budgeting & Performance
Support management of marketing budgets, timelines, and project plans with strong financial discipline
Track, measure, and report on campaign and omni performance (POS, digital, shopper metrics)
Identify optimization opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
Insights & Strategy Support
Analyze consumer, category, and competitive data (e.g., Nielsen, shopper insights, POS) to inform strategies
Translate insights into clear recommendations for brand growth and execution improvements
Maintain a strong understanding of Canadian retail landscape and shopper behaviour
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Partner closely with Brand, Omni, Sales, RGM, Insights, Innovation, Digital Shelf, and external agencies
Serve as a key connector between brand strategy and executional delivery
Support integrated business planning and alignment across teams
Total Rewards:
CAD $78,300.00 - $101,200 annually.
Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors. Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility. Requirements:
Qualifications
University degree in Business or Marketing
3–5 years of experience across brand marketing, shopper/omni marketing, or CPG marketing roles
Experience in campaign execution, retail marketing, and cross-functional project management
Experience working with creative/media agencies
Familiarity with Canadian retail environment and shopper marketing dynamics
Experience with SAP and syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen) is an asset
