Finance Analyst

The Role

This commercial role offers the opportunity to be fully immersed in the profitability of our branded sales, a business stream driving circa £1bn in turnover. Joining the team at our Head Office in Leicestershire, you will find a balanced mix of financial analysis, management accounting and business partnering. You will collaborate closely with NEXT product teams, taking responsibility for reporting and finding ways to improve business performance.

What You Will Take On

Performance Analysis: Report and explain the financial performance of the branded stream to finance and product stakeholders, delivering clear insights.

Profitability Management: Manage brand-level profitability analysis with regular updates throughout the year to identify areas for improvement.

Cost Allocation: Collaborate with wider finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and maintain precise financial records.

New Brand Appraisals: Evaluate the commercial potential and profitability of prospective brands to ensure successful launches.

Annual Reporting: Prepare clear and detailed sales and profit schedules for annual reporting to external audiences.

Licensed Products: Assess the profitability of licensed products, reviewing margins, stock levels and costs to help maximize returns.

What You Will Bring

At least three years of experience in a finance or analytical role.

CIMA or ACCA qualified, or making progress as a part-qualified professional.

Strong Excel skills, with experience in Power Pivot and Power Query preferred.

Confident data handling skills and experience with large datasets, ideally using SQL or Power BI.

The ability to prepare clear financial schedules for review with senior leadership teams.

A proactive approach, with the ability to manage your workload with high attention to detail.

A flexible mindset and a willingness to collaborate on a variety of team tasks.

You will need to be in the office 4 days a week
