About OLIX

AI is growing faster than any technology in history and the explosion in demand has created a massive infrastructure gap; we can no longer build chips or power stations fast enough to keep up. The industry is still leaning on a ten-year-old hardware blueprint that has reached its limit. A new paradigm that is faster and more efficient will be the biggest economic opportunity of the next century and create the most important company of the next decade. The OLIX Decode Accelerator 1 (DX-1) is the first accelerator architected specifically for decode. Rack-scale co-design of logic, data movement, packaging, optics and interconnect enables a step change in system level performance.

The Role

We're searching for an IT Ops Engineer to be the welcoming first point of contact for everything IT, in a busy & mixed-platform environment. You will take the lead in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across macOS, Linux, and Windows systems, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices, cloud platforms, and a wide range of peripherals. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience with networking, infrastructure, and cutting-edge DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Beyond end-user support, you'll get hands-on with the foundational services that keep the business running:

Device lifecycle: imaging, OS patching and endpoint hardening; automating builds and zero-touch provisioning where possible

Directory & identity: provisioning accounts, managing security groups, MFA, SSO and license assignments

Network edge & core: basic switch configuration, port/VLAN changes, link and signal checks, and Wi-Fi performance tuning (channel planning, RF coverage)

Firewall & security: monitoring rulesets, triaging alerts, helping craft least-privilege policies, applying firmware updates

Core services: administering DNS, DHCP, print, file shares and cloud storage; tracking SSL/TLS certificate renewals and software licences

Office infrastructure: AV/meeting-room kit, VoIP handsets, printers, UPS checks

Knowledge management: writing concise "how-to" guides and post-incident reviews for the internal wiki

Drive IT process improvements: refine workflows and suggest innovative solutions to enhance IT operations

Skills & Experience

Endpoint lifecycle: Device imaging, MDM-protocol enforcement and policy/compliance baselines

Identity & access: LDAP administration, federation with SAML 2.0 / OAuth 2.0 / OIDC

Network & Wi-Fi: VLAN configuration, monitoring, and management across L2/L3

Firewall & security: Policy management and rule lifecycle

Automation & DevOps: Any scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) or Infrastructure as Code experience is a plus

Compensation & Equity

Competitive Salary: Commensurate with your experience, skills, and location

Equity & Ownership: Meaningful stock options. You’re not just joining the mission; you’re owning a piece of it

Proximity Bonus: We value your time. To minimise your commute and maximise your life, we offer an annual Living-Local Bonus if your residence is within 20 minutes of the office

Retirement Benefits: Employer-contributed retirement plans to help you build long-term financial security.

We are generally unable to consider applicants whose most recent citizenship or permanent residence is in certain restricted countries (currently including Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Russia, Belarus, China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Venezuela).
