At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. As a Business Development Manager (BDM) within Banking & Trust Services (BTS) Sales, you play a critical role in driving growth across Schwab’s banking and lending solutions within the Investor Services (IS) channel.
This role serves as a sales enablement and execution partner to Business Development Officers (BDOs)—bridging strategy and execution. You are responsible for pipeline visibility, opportunity management, client and partner support, and operational excellence, helping accelerate adoption of lending solutions and delivering a seamless client experience.
How You Your Skills (What You’ll Do):
Sales & Pipeline Execution
Partner closely with BDOs to drive pipeline growth and opportunity management
Own pipeline tracking, reporting, and CRM (Salesforce) updates
Support lead intake, follow-up, and conversion efforts
Provide visibility into pipeline health and proactively identify gaps and opportunities
Client & Partner Support
Serve as a key point of contact for client and partner inquiries
Deliver lending guidance and product education to advisors, branch partners, and clients
Reinforce Schwab banking and lending solutions to support client acquisition and expansion
Ensure a seamless, high-quality client experience
Business Development & Enablement
Support regional sales strategies and prepare for client engagements
Deliver training, education, and best practices to internal partners
Drive adoption of digital tools, lending platforms, and sales processes
Reinforce product positioning across IS channels
Pipeline & Process Management
Own pipeline visibility, tracking, and reporting (Salesforce, Tableau)
Ensure timely follow-up and accountability across stakeholders
Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements
Promote consistency in lead management and workflow execution
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner across BTS, Investor Services, and other internal teams to improve workflows
Act as a subject matter expert for key initiatives
Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement efforts
Influence without direct authority to drive results
Execution & Operational Excellence
Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Conduct research, resolve escalations, and coordinate cross-functional support
Maintain strong attention to detail and follow-through
Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and firm policies
Safeguard client data and maintain privacy standards

What you have
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or sales support
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Series 7 and 63/66 (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting sales or business development teams
Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, or similar tools
Knowledge of Schwab banking or lending solutions

Compensation
This Sales role pays $43k-$61k/yr. Within typical range for sales roles in United States.
