About the role

We are looking for a forward-thinking search strategist who understands that traditional SEO is evolving into AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). In this role, you will own the organic visibility of our new academic programs and localized search presence for our regional clinics.

The ideal professional is autonomous, highly proactive, and comfortable working from data instead of waiting for instructions. Success in this role depends on the ability to identify content gaps, traffic drops, and high-intent opportunities, then recommend the exact actions needed to improve performance.

Responsibilities

Conduct deep keyword and topic cluster research for high-intent graduate student queries and local naturopathic patient searches.

Write highly converting, SEO-optimized landing pages, program descriptions, and blog content tailored to both education and healthcare audiences.

Optimize the organization’s digital footprint so the university is cited accurately by AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google SGE.

Audit and optimize local SEO performance, including Google Business Profiles, for clinic operations.

Monitor organic traffic and content performance, identify declines or missed opportunities, and proactively recommend new content, rewrites, or on-page improvements.

Collaborate closely with the Lead Strategist to prioritize and execute the highest-impact organic growth initiatives.

Requirements

Deep expertise in modern SEO and GEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, and Google Search Console.

Exceptional long-form and short-form copywriting skills, ideally within healthcare, higher education, or similarly trust-driven industries.

Proven ability to use AI tools to support research, strategy development, and execution.

Familiarity with EOS, L10 meetings, and Agile marketing project management; willingness to learn is acceptable for candidates without prior direct exposure.

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and comfort turning performance data into actionable recommendations.

Autonomous but collaborative working style, with the confidence to self-direct while partnering effectively with stakeholders.

Bonus Points

Experience working with higher education, healthcare, or multi-location service brands.

Hands-on experience with local SEO for clinics, practices, or regional business profiles.

Familiarity with internal linking strategy, topical authority development, and conversion-oriented UX copy.

Benefits

Flexible part-time engagement of approximately 20 hours per week.

Fully remote collaboration.

Opportunity to shape a modern organic growth strategy across both education and healthcare verticals.

High ownership and direct impact on visibility, traffic, and lead generation.
