Especialista em Tributos Diretos (Tax Advisor) - Rio de Janeiro

You will be the technical owner of our direct tax compliance and reporting cycle in Brazil,

handling everything from tax calculation and statutory filings to deferred tax analysis and

audit support, in a complex and highly regulated industry environment.

Own the end-to-end calculation and filing of direct taxes and contributions (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS and withholding taxes).

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all statutory obligations (ECD, ECF, PER/DCOMP, SPED Contribuições) in full compliance with Brazilian tax legislation.

Prepare IRPJ and CSLL tax packages for group reporting purposes, meeting corporate deadlines and quality standards.

Perform the valuation allowance analysis for deferred tax assets, providing well supported recoverability assessments.

Identify, assess and monitor tax incentives and fiscal benefits, ensuring ongoing eligibility and compliance with applicable regulations.

Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of all tax-related balance sheet accounts and financial statement disclosures.

Review the balance sheet and financial statements from a tax perspective, contributing to a high-quality monthly and annual close.

Review and validate intercompany transactions in line with local and international standards, flagging transfer pricing and compliance risks.

Support internal and external audit processes and assist in tax authority examinations and formal inquiries.

Coordinate and mentor junior analysts and assistants on the team.

Report to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Operations.

Degree in Accounting or related (active CRC registration preferred).

Fluent English (written and spoken).

Solid background in Brazilian direct tax and accounting, ideally with exposure to senior or specialist roles.

Deep knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation and regulatory environment.

Proficiency in BR GAAP and IFRS; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion is a strong di ff erentiator).

Advanced Excel skills.
