About the role
Role Overview
We are seeking a Data and Artificial Intelligence Scientist to design, develop, and deploy reusable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-native data and AI solutions.
The successful candidate will be part of an AI development team responsible for exploring, evaluating, and developing applications using advanced AI technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and industry partners to address business and industry challenges through data-driven and AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and industry partners throughout the product lifecycle, including concept development, solution design, prototyping, testing, data preparation, deployment, operationalisation, enhancement, and end-of-life management.
Assess the maturity, suitability, and applicability of emerging AI technologies, research developments, and industry trends.
Design, develop, and deploy software components using microservices-based architectures.
Participate in secure software development practices, agile delivery processes, and technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
Design, implement, validate, and optimise algorithms while considering functional and non-functional requirements such as transparency, fairness, scalability, security, maintainability, integration complexity, and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the development and deployment of AI-enabled applications and data-driven products.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Good understanding of current AI research, technologies, and deployment considerations in production environments.
Strong programming experience in Python and/or C++.
Experience with data processing, data visualisation, machine learning, and reporting libraries.
Hands-on experience with one or more deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering techniques, and AI-assisted application development.
Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and vector and/or graph database technologies.
Strong understanding of 3D geometry, vector mathematics, and coordinate systems.
Experience with algorithms related to mesh manipulation, Boolean operations, and geometric transformations.
Proficiency in relevant 3D modelling, CAD software, or associated development libraries such as Blender, Revit, OpenGL, CGAL, or Three.js.
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience level and appointment will be commensurate with qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
Candidates with experience in AI product development, cloud-native applications, and production deployment environments will be viewed favorably.
