Transportation Design Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Transportation Design Engineer with relevant years of planning and design experience. You will join the growing highways and transportation team in our Cork office.

Your role

You must be enthusiastic, keen to learn, dedicated, flexible, willing to seek responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.

The role will involve preliminary and detailed design, input to statutory processes, preparation of contract documents, contract administration and construction supervision.

About you

Relevant years of experience in a consultancy environment.

Level 8 (minimum) or Level 9 (preferred) Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Aiming to achieve Chartered Engineer status.

Knowledge and experience of relevant design standards, including TII Publications, Cycle Design Manual, DMURS etc. and ability to translate this knowledge into practical design solutions.

Computer literate with experience of relevant design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D etc).

Experience in design and build schemes.

Experience in development of road schemes (preferably in Ireland) including feasibility studies, options assessments, preliminary designs, planning processes, EIAR, CPO, tender document preparation, contract administration and construction supervision.

Full Irish or EU Driving Licence.

Flexible approach with ability to multi-task and prioritise as necessary.

Highly motivated, able to work in a team or alone as required.
