Here at GXO, we’re looking for a HR Advisor to join our site supporting a prestigious fashion retailer. Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, generalist HR service across the operation. Acting as a trusted partner to managers, you’ll provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, support engagement initiatives and coach leaders to build capability. This is a varied role where you’ll balance operational priorities with longer-term people initiatives, contributing to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

This role is being offered on a 12-month FTC basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00 or 09:00 till 17:00

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,000 per annum and 31 days annual leave (inc bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Provide expert advice to managers and colleagues on employee relations, absence, performance, discipline and grievance matters, ensuring consistency and fairness

Contribute to engagement activities, HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Manage a varied ER caseload, ensuring compliance with employment law, policies and best practice

Support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the function

Lead absence management, long‑term sickness and return‑to‑work processes, driving initiatives to reduce absence levels

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Experience in a similar HR Advisor or generalist role, ideally within a fast‑paced operational or logistics environment

Able to build trusted relationships at all levels and challenge with credibility and professionalism

Confident advising on policies, employee relations and change management, with excellent attention to detail

Experience or exposure to payroll processes

CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards this
