Responsibilities:

This role plays a key leadership position in both new product introduction (NPI) and high-volume manufacturing, leveraging deep technical expertise to ensure that advanced electronic measurement instruments developed at the Hachioji site are delivered efficiently, reliably, and at scale to customers worldwide.

Working closely with R&D and global manufacturing sites, you will lead end-to-end manufacturing strategy and execution, including process development, production ramp-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead the development and implementation of scalable manufacturing processes that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets

Drive Design for Manufacturing/Test (DFM/DFT) initiatives in collaboration with R&D to ensure manufacturability from early design stages

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to global manufacturing sites, including hands-on support for production ramp-up and issue resolution

Own and drive continuous improvement initiatives (quality, cost, yield, cycle time) for mass production

Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex manufacturing and field issues

Manage design changes related to component obsolescence, cost optimization, and quality improvement

Act as the manufacturing lead in cross-functional NPI teams, influencing key technical and business decisions

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronic engineering, control systems engineering, or a related field

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical/electronic products

Proven ability to lead complex manufacturing initiatives and work across global, cross-functional teams

Effective communication skills in both Japanese and English

5+ years of professional experience in analog circuit design and/or manufacturing engineering

Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up in a global environment

Hands-on experience with DFM/DFT, yield improvement, and failure analysis

Experience in influencing design decisions to optimize manufacturability and cost

Familiarity with test systems, automation, or embedded software is a plus
