Description and Requirements
Overall Description: The Sr Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with R&D (Research & Development) obligations under the Brazilian Informatics Law.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and controlling R&D (Research & Development) expenses in line with the established budget and government requirements.
Provide financial support to the R&D team, including analysis of project-related expenses.
Monitor expenses against the annual budget to ensure cost control and avoid overspending.
Prepare and share financial reports with the R&D team to highlight potential risks related to budget or regulatory compliance.
Analyze sales reports to calculate and track R&D obligations.
Present financial results (actual vs. budget) for projects, as well as closing reports to management and the finance leadership team.
Oversee project accounting, including journal entries, provisions control, and accounting analysis of expenses.
✅ Position requirements:
Advanced students or graduates in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields, with at least 4 years of experience in FP&A, project financial control, and accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and English (both written and spoken); the role requires active participation in meetings conducted in English.
Knowledge of the Brazilian Informatics Law and experience in tax/accounting areas are a plus, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
Availability to work in a hybrid model: 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.
