Specialist BSA will play a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions to enhance the digital onboarding and issuance experience for customers across Axis MaxLife’s onboarding and issuance applications. Incumbent will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise in designing and delivering end to end high performance, scalable flexible solutions encompassing responsive APIs, application data Integration, scalable databases. Incumbent would be also responsible to experiment, explore and demonstrate application of new technologies by means of conducting quick prototypes to solve business problems. Work with the direction from Solution Architect/ Enterprise Architect and co-create solutions with rest of the IT delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage end‑to‑end Business Analysis responsibilities across the Application / Initiative Development Life Cycle (AIDLC)—from problem discovery, requirements shaping, solution design support, build, testing, rollout, to post‑implementation stabilization.

Act as a bridge between business, technology, architecture, and delivery teams, translating complex business needs into clear functional, non‑functional, and data requirements across multiple dependent systems.

Lead solution design collaboration with Solution Architects, Tech Leads, and Platform teams, ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Drive cross‑system solutioning spanning onboarding, issuance, underwriting, policy admin, document management, integrations, and external partner systems (B2B/B2C).

Evaluate solution options and recommend fit‑for‑purpose designs considering cost, timelines, reusability, risk, and long‑term maintainability.

Prepare detailed artifacts such as BRD/FRD, process flows, system interaction diagrams, API contracts, data mappings, and business rules, ensuring traceability across AIDLC stages.

Actively manage change impact analysis across systems and processes when introducing new capabilities or enhancements.

Support budget management and cost awareness by:

Estimating effort and complexity at feature / release level

Tracking requirement scope to prevent cost overruns

Work closely with program and delivery managers to control scope, leakage, and prioritization within approved budgets and timelines.

Provide functional leadership during SIT/UAT, including scenario design, data setup, defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and closure coordination across teams.

Faster, better and cheaper delivery of applications via technology

Compliance to Technical principles and standards including NFR’s/VAPT

SLA Compliance, RCA and defect repetition

Exceptional user(internal/external) experience, automation and operational efficiency by adoption of new cutting edge technology solutions to solve business problems

Key competencies/skills required:

5-8 years of experience in design development of B2B, B2C applications

End to End designing of applications with backend integration

Experience on individual life insurance product launches is preferable

Have strong ability to trouble shoot the application and interface related problems

Experience in addressing scalability performance tuning of applications

Passionate Problem Solver and “Can do attitude”, self-driven with sound communication articulation skills

BTech degree from a reputed institute

5-8 years of dev/business analysis experience

Should have architected and delivered at least 2-3 large projects

Should be working or should have worked with reputed organizations or startups
