Senior Technical Business Analyst – Intelligent Automation, RPA AI

Position Summary

We are a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Technical Business Analyst – Intelligent Automation, RPA AI to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

This role serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, automation engineers, architects, and AI development teams to design and deliver scalable automation and AI solutions. Unlike a traditional Business Analyst role, this position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business process knowledge, and program delivery experience.

The successful candidate will lead automation discovery, optimize complex business processes, and support the implementation of end-to-end intelligent automation solutions leveraging RPA, Machine Learning, Generative AI, OpenAI technologies, Process Mining, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), APIs, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis Process Transformation

Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to identify automation and AI transformation opportunities.

Lead discovery workshops and assess current-state processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.

Gather, analyze, prioritize, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.

Translate business needs into scalable automation and AI solution designs.

Develop Process Design Documents (PDDs), workflows, and technical documentation.

Drive process optimization and enterprise-wide standardization initiatives.

Technical Architecture Solution Design

Collaborate with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to design secure and scalable solutions.

Understand end-to-end automation architecture, including:

RPA

APIs and integrations

OCR/IDP platforms

Conversational AI

Machine Learning and Generative AI

Evaluate feasibility, dependencies, and scalability of proposed solutions.

Support architecture governance and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Provide recommendations on reusable automation frameworks and patterns.

Work across enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, cloud, middleware, and analytics platforms.

Intelligent Automation AI Strategy

Identify opportunities to leverage RPA, ML, and Generative AI to drive business outcomes.

Support AI initiatives such as:

GPT/OpenAI implementations

AI agents and orchestration workflows

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Intelligent document processing and knowledge automation

Collaborate on prompt engineering strategies and human-in-the-loop models.

Evaluate AI use cases for scalability, compliance, and ROI.

Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Program Technical Project Management

Lead automation and AI initiatives from intake to deployment and operational transition.

Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, technology, and vendors.

Manage delivery timelines, risks, dependencies, and escalations.

Facilitate workshops to drive alignment and decision-making.

Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, releases).

Provide status reporting and executive-level communication.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

8+ years of experience in enterprise-scale transformation or technology initiatives.

5+ years as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.

5+ years delivering automation and AI solutions.

3+ years of proven experience leading enterprise automation and AI implementations.

Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and integrations.

3+ years of hands-on experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism).

Experience with Process Mining, OCR/IDP, APIs, and workflow automation.

Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and AI solution design.

Experience with Generative AI and OpenAI/Azure OpenAI technologies.

Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and conversational AI frameworks.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in regulated industries (life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services) preferred.
