Role: Product Analyst

Location: Hyderabad, India

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Product Analyst to support analytics and player insights for The Sims Franchise. In this role, you will partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other analysts to help guide product decisions through data-driven insights. You will analyze player behavior, monitor game health, evaluate live service performance, and build scalable analytical solutions that improve player experiences and operational effectiveness.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about games, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys solving complex problems using data.

What You’ll Do

Analyze and monitor game health metrics to improve player experience.

Write and maintain complex SQL queries and scripting workflows to extract, transform, validate, and analyze large-scale telemetry datasets.

Build dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytical tools that help teams monitor operational performance and identify meaningful trends in player and system behavior.

Explore player behavior patterns and gameplay systems to identify opportunities to improve engagement and overall gameplay experience.

Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate gameplay features and player experience improvements using statistical methods.

Perform statistical analyses and modeling to uncover actionable insights that support live operations and product decisions.

Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define telemetry instrumentation, success metrics, KPIs, and analytical frameworks for gameplay features and live operations initiatives.

Validate datasets, measurement methodologies, and reporting outputs to ensure analytical accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses, reporting workflows, and operational monitoring processes to improve scalability and efficiency.

Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, actionable recommendations, and measurable outcomes.

Present analyses, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful way.

Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to ensure reliable analytics pipelines and scalable reporting solutions.

Continuously develop a deep understanding of The Sims ecosystem, player motivations, live-service operations, and business priorities.

Stay current with industry trends, analytics methodologies, player behavior patterns, and live-service best practices.

What You Bring

2–4 years of experience in an analytics or product analytics role performing quantitative analysis to guide business or product decisions.

Strong SQL skills with experience extracting and analyzing data from large and complex data sources with differing structures.

Hands-on experience with data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling techniques.

Experience designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests, including determining statistical significance.

Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Proficiency in programmatic analytics tools such as Python or R, including writing scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Experience influencing stakeholders and driving data-informed decision-making across teams.

Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Passion for gaming, mobile gaming, and The Sims franchise.

Experience working with live-service games, telemetry systems, or player behavioral analytics.

Familiarity with large-scale data platforms and operational analytics environments.

Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics workflows, generative AI tools, or emerging AI technologies that improve analytical efficiency and insight generation.
