Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?
Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It Possible.
We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join our Iberia Demand Planning & Forecasting team, based in Madrid, Spain. This is a pivotal role within a team managing 800+ SKUs across iconic brands (Oreo, Milka, Fontaneda, LU Prince, TUC, and more) in a fast-paced FMCG food environment where shelf life is a real operational constraint.
You will join us at an exciting time: we are preparing for a major system transformation from SAP APO to O9 Solutions, and we need someone who is not only technically strong but genuinely energised by change and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on planning role where your experience and expertise will make a real difference to the team and the business.
How you will contribute
You will develop and own the 0–24 month IBP demand forecast by brand and at SKU level for your assigned categories. You will coordinate, challenge and influence building blocks with input from sales, marketing and cross-functional partners.
You will also:
Own the short-term and long-term demand plan: Manage the weekly disaggregated plan (SKU/location mix and weekly pacing) and the rolling 3–24 month forecast
Drive the IBP cycle: Contribute to the demand management cycle of the Integrated Business Planning process, including strategy and structure discussions
Influence cross-functionally: Liaise with commercial, supply and operational teams to align on assumptions, challenge inputs, and improve plan quality
Lead continuous improvement: Perform root-cause analysis on forecast error, bias and service issues; propose and implement process improvements; share insights with leadership
Collaborate with modelling teams: Interact with statistical forecasting teams to generate and refine demand signals
Deliver the final plan: Provide the finalized detailed demand plan by SKU to supply planners and adjust based on supply feedback or commercial changes
More about this role:
You will be joining a team that is going through significant transformation — both in terms of people and systems. We need someone who can bring stability, expertise and a fresh perspective. Your experience will naturally make you a reference point for less experienced colleagues, and you will contribute to shaping how we work as we build a best-in-class demand planning function for Iberia.
This is a Demand Planner role within a flat, collaborative team structure — what makes it special is the scope, the brands, and the opportunity to be at the heart of a major digital transformation.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
Minimum 4 years' experience in demand planning / supply chain in an industry where shelf life or product freshness is a genuine operational constraint — this includes FMCG food, beverages, dairy, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or similar fast-paced environments
Proven experience working within an IBP / S&OP environment with a solid understanding of the end-to-end planning cycle
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, supply, finance) — not just collaborate, but challenge and improve
Hands-on experience with SAP APO (or equivalent demand planning tool such as O9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder)
Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with large data sets, identifying patterns, and translating data into actionable insights
English proficiency (professional working level) — this is the working language with European and global teams
Willingness to learn Spanish — needed for day-to-day interaction with local commercial teams (not required at hire)
What Will Set You Apart
Experience with O9 Solutions — if you have it, you can play an active role in our APO O9 migration, helping design, test and adopt new planning capabilities
Experience with system migrations or implementations in a planning environment
A genuine continuous improvement mindset — you don't just follow the process, you question it and make it better
Positive, resilient attitude — you thrive in a dynamic environment, stay solution-oriented under pressure, and bring energy to the team
Tech-savvy: Comfortable with Power BI, advanced Excel, and eager to learn new digital tools
Experience managing 200+ SKUs across multiple brands/categories simultaneously
Spanish or Portuguese language skills (nice to have, not required)
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
Candidates must have the legal right to work in Spain at the time of application (EU/EEA citizenship or valid existing work permit). Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
