What You Will Do

The Principal Program Controls Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Business Manager with business and financial responsibilities for a new contract expected to be awarded in May 2026. This position is Award Dependent.

The Principal Program Controls Specialist will support and generate work products for various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual routines including the following: Earned Value reporting, Baseline Planning and Development, Estimates at Completion (EACs), risk and opportunity development, financial forecasting, Short Range Outlook (SRO), Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and 5-year strategic planning.

This position will not have any employee management responsibilities and will be an individual contributor role on the program.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience

Experience working with financial data

Existing TS/SCI Security Clearance

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Independently create and accurately analyze financial data

Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry

Prior program experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS); Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification or equivalent Project Management Institute (PMI) certification

Prior program experience in Estimates at Completion (EAC) including cost, variance, risk and opportunity analysis

Proficiency using SAP/APEX/PRISM/MRP/RPLAN/BW

Self-starter highly motivated with a positive "can do" attitude

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
