At QIC, we're building a modern, high-performing People & Culture function focused on strategic partnership, exceptional employee experiences and helping our business leaders succeed. We are looking for an experienced Senior People & Culture Advisor to join us on an 18-month parental leave contract and play a key role supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate and investment businesses.

About the Role
Reporting to a P&C Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, providing practical, commercially focused HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
This role offers broad exposure across the People & Culture portfolio. You will support annual people processes, workforce planning, talent and succession activities, organisational change initiatives, employee engagement programs and leadership coaching, while partnering closely with leaders to address emerging people challenges and business priorities.
Success in this role requires someone who is comfortable working through ambiguity, can quickly build trusted relationships, and brings the energy, adaptability and curiosity needed to thrive in a collaborative and evolving environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Partnering with leaders to provide proactive HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle
Supporting talent, succession, workforce planning and performance management activities
Coordinating and delivering annual people processes including goal setting, performance reviews, calibration and workforce planning cycles
Assisting leaders to interpret employee engagement results and implement meaningful action plans
Coaching managers on people leadership, employee relations and performance matters
Preparing workforce data, reporting and insights to support decision-making
Supporting organisational and team effectiveness initiatives
Building strong relationships across a diverse range of business groups and stakeholders
Working collaboratively with Business Partners and specialist P&C teams to deliver integrated people solutions
Contributing to broader People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You're an experienced HR professional who combines sound judgement with a practical, business-focused approach.
You enjoy building strong relationships, navigating complexity and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You are highly organised, adaptable and comfortable operating in environments where priorities shift and not everything is clearly defined.
You will bring:
Experience in a broad HR advisory or business partnering role
Exposure to talent management, workforce planning, succession planning and performance management processes
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
HR systems experience (Oracle preferred)
Confidence coaching and influencing leaders at varying levels of the organisation
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong analytical capability and confidence working with people data and insights
A practical, solutions-focused mindset
Experience working in professional services, financial services, corporate or similarly complex environments
