Job Overview:
Step into a key role where you’ll illuminate cloud spending, control, and performance. You’ll shape data into cost saving insights, empowering teams with show-back clarity and greater understanding of their technical debt. Join us to drive smarter budgets and make real impact!
Responsibilities:
Analyze cloud cost and usage data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports for engineering, finance, and leadership.
Support show-back/chargeback models by mapping costs to applications, teams, and business units.
Use observability tools to understand business value of optimized infrastructure.
Perform budget vs actual variance analysis and explain cost drivers.
Develop and track FinOps, Controls, and Performance KCI/ KPIs (utilization, cost per unit, waste, efficiency).
Partner with engineering to highlight:
Overprovisioned resources.
Idle / unused infrastructure.
Optimization opportunities.
Assist in forecasting cloud spend and improving forecast accuracy.
Automate reporting and data extraction processes where possible.
Ability to track cost avoidance and realized saves.
Utilize and develop monitoring frameworks: data models, data quality checks, and documentation so metrics are trusted, repeatable, and utilized.

Requirements:
8+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or FinOps-related roles
Experience working with large datasets (billing, usage, financial data)
Experience supporting financial analysis (budgeting, forecasting, variance)
Exposure to cloud cost management or technology environments
Experience collaborating with engineering and finance teams
AWS Practitioner Certified, FinOps Practitioner Certifed, Azure Fundamentals
Strong proficiency in SQL and Data manipulation
Experience with data visualization tools (ie: Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, modeling and data validation)
Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, OnPrem and Infrastructure)
Understanding of cost drivers across compute, storage and network
Familiarization with FinOps Principles and Concepts showback, chargeback, budgeting, forecasting and unit economics
Experience with cloud tools Cloud ability, cloudhealth and native cloud billing tools)
Ability to build and maintain dashboards scorecards and executive reports
Strong attention to detail in data accuracy, reconciliation and validation
Ability to translate data into clear actionable insights; strong story telling skills.
Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with Finance, SRE/Engineering and product teams.
Preferences:
FinOps Certified, Azure Fundamentals certified AWS Solutions Architect certified.
CRISC Certification/ Understanding of Risk and Controls frameworks (NIST, CIS, CSA).
