About the Roles
We are seeking an Accountant to join a recycling industry company based in Tuas, working on a 5-day weekday schedule (Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm). This is a permanent role offering a competitive package that includes basic salary, transport allowance, and AWS. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on accounting role within a stable environment, supporting both operational finance and reporting functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain accurate accounting records in line with internal policies, regulatory standards, and financial reporting requirements
Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses to support business decisions
Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal postings, accruals, and account reconciliations
Reconcile general ledger, bank, and intercompany balances while resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
Handle full spectrum of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, billing, collections, and account upkeep
Analyse financial performance by reviewing variances, trends, and key indicators, and provide insights for improvement
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Ensure adherence to tax requirements, statutory regulations, and financial reporting standards, including GST/VAT submissions
Assist in internal and external audits by preparing supporting schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries
Manage fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and oversee inventory and spare parts accounting accuracy
What We’re Looking For
A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are advantageous
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full-set accounts and financial reporting
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and operate effectively both independently and within a team
