About the role

[What the role is]

To manage the implementation of Community Development Council’s Jobs Nearby @ CDC initiative and related programmes in the district, connecting residents with employment opportunities and community services through targeted outreach, stakeholder partnerships, and programme coordination.

Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job. This will include the important result areas (what) along with the rationale (why).

Support Job Ambassadors in their daily operations at job clinics by providing operational assistance and coordination.

Support the delivery of capability-building sessions for Job Ambassadors to provide high-touch job assistance.

Implement outreach plans to increase CDC awareness and participation in job advisory services.

Liaise and maintain partnerships with employers, merchants, Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs), training providers, grassroots, and community partners.

Process and manage case referrals and queries from the public, inter-agency partners, and Grassroots Advisers, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate support.

Track job placement outcomes and assist Job Ambassadors with job-matching activities and strategies.

Gather feedback and insights from Job Ambassadors and stakeholders to support programme refinements and improvements.

Manage and track data of residents served, job referrals, and placement targets for reporting.

Partner with relevant stakeholders in district-wide career events and upskilling workshops.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge in outreach, career and skills advisory, community engagement, HR/recruitment, or workforce development.

Knowledge of 2nd language (e.g. Mandarin, Malay, Tamil or dialects) to effectively engage with diverse residents in the community.

Coaching and/or facilitation certification would be desirable.

Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong team player and self-starter

Familiarity with employment trends, workforce policies, and training ecosystem in Singapore.
