We’re looking for a Lead, Web Development to lead the developers behind Loop’s Shopify ecosystem and help shape the future of our digital customer experience.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to code. It’s for a technical leader who still loves development, enjoys mentoring engineers, thrives in cross-functional collaboration, and gets excited about defining what modern ecommerce development should look like — especially in an AI-enabled world.

What You’ll Do

Lead Loop’s Web Development Function

Lead and develop a team of Web Developers responsible for Loop’s ecommerce platform

Coach developers through technical challenges, architecture decisions, and professional growth

Create strong engineering practices across development workflows, QA, scalability, documentation, and deployment quality

Build a team culture focused on ownership, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Shape the Future of Loop’s Ecommerce Platform

Define and drive the technical roadmap for Loop’s Shopify ecosystem in partnership with Ecommerce leadership

Guide decisions across Shopify architecture, frontend performance, integrations, accessibility, experimentation tooling, and platform scalability

Stay close to the technical work through code reviews, technical sparring, debugging support, and hands-on contribution where valuable

Continuously explore new technologies, tooling, and ecommerce innovations that improve customer experience and development velocity

Champion AI & Modern Development Practices

Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tooling and workflows across the team

Experiment with modern engineering practices that increase productivity, speed, and development quality

Help define how AI can shape the future of ecommerce development at Loop — from developer workflows to customer-facing experiences

Collaborate Across the Business

Partner closely with Ecommerce, CRO, SEO, Data & Analytics, Brand, Expansion, and Product (App) stakeholders

Translate business opportunities into scalable technical solutions

Act as a trusted technical partner who can balance engineering quality with commercial impact

Who You Are

5+ years of experience in ecommerce web development, frontend engineering, or Shopify-focused digital product environments

Previous people leadership or mentoring experience within engineering or web development teams

Strong Shopify and ecommerce platform expertise, with the ability to guide architecture and engineering decisions confidently

Deep curiosity about modern development tooling, AI-assisted engineering, and the future of ecommerce experiences

Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on technical involvement

Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Passionate about building high-performing teams, not just high-performing code

Compensation Range: €70K - €90K
