Job Summary:

The Data Analyst will support the Data Analytics function by collecting, processing, and analyzing data to generate meaningful insights. The role involves assisting in dashboard creation, reporting, and contributing to analytics projects aimed at improving institutional effectiveness and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and validate data from various institutional departments

Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights

Develop and maintain dashboards, MIS reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau / Power BI

Support the Senior Business Analyst in executing analytics projects

Perform basic statistical analysis and data interpretation

Prepare periodic reports, summaries, and presentations for internal reviews and leadership

Maintain structured databases and documentation for datasets and reports

Coordinate with departments for data collection and validation

Assist in implementation of AI-based tools and automation initiatives

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through regular validation checks

Adhere to defined timelines and deliverables for assigned tasks

Continuously identify opportunities for improving data processes and reporting systems and analysis of enquiry trends for reporting and planning purposes.

Educational Qualifications

M.Tech. (Data Science) / M.Sc. (Statistics) / MBA (Business Analytics) or equivalent from a reputed institution or recognized university

Professional Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field

Experience with data handling, reporting, or analytics tools

Exposure to academic/education sector will be an added advantage

Skills and Competencies

Basic knowledge of BI tools (Tableau / Power BI)

Familiarity with Python / R / SQL (preferred)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and coordination skills

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
