About the role

APM Terminals

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be apart of our journey.

What We Can Offer

At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

Opportunity to lead critical equipment packages within a large-scale, multi-year terminal upgrade project in a live operational environment

Exposure to complex, multidisciplinary interfaces across marine works, civil, electrical, IT, and terminal operations

A collaborative, safety-driven project environment with strong alignment between terminal and project execution teams

Stable work-life integration supported by structured governance, clear accountability, and strong safety leadership

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing, directing, and controlling the delivery of all assigned equipment and installation packages, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. Your core responsibilities include:

Lead the end-to-end delivery of equipment packages, covering tendering, fabrication, delivery, installation, commissioning, and integration

Manage key equipment suppliers, including direct coordination through Crane Engineering Services (CES) in Shanghai and other contracted parties

Act as the primary on-site point of contact for equipment-related matters with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Coordinate closely with the terminal Asset Management team and Terminal Equipment Manager to align technical solutions with operational requirements

Monitor progress against the approved project baseline, proactively identifying risks, delays, and mitigation actions

Manage equipment-related scope changes, schedule impacts, and cost variations in line with APM Terminals governance and change management procedures

Promote and demonstrate visible safety leadership, ensuring contractors and suppliers comply with APM Terminals’ HSSE standards and Culture of Care principles

What We Are Looking For

Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day

In addition, you bring the following experience and capabilities:

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, installations, and/or project-based delivery environments

Proven background in project or package management with responsibility for safety, schedule, quality, and budget outcomes

Strong technical understanding of equipment systems and installation processes within port, terminal, or heavy industrial environments

Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, building alignment with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers

Clear and confident communication skills, with a professional level of English required; French is considered an advantage

You are structured, disciplined, and hands-on, with the ability to influence outcomes, maintain control in complex construction environments, and consistently follow through on actions and documentation.
