Second Class Operating Engineer certificate / credentials are required for this position.
The Second Class Operating Engineer reports directly to the Plant Engineer & Reliability Manager for The Collingwood Distillery. This person will operate, maintain and repair all Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Compressed Air Systems to TSSA standards per the Ontario Operating Engineers Act. The Second Class Operating Engineer will use computer and other SCADA systems to supply quality steam, compressed air and reverse osmosis water to internal customers. This role also participates in TPM as required and conducts weekend and plant shutdown security.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains 100% uptime for Boiler, Compressed Air and RO systems
Maintains cleaning standards in department per Division cleaning standards and 5S
Completes and keeps up to date all safety training initiatives. Includes WHIMIS, Confined Space, Lockout, Working at heights
Completes and records the assigned PM tasks within the department. Completes and records all assigned 5S tasks within the department
Operates and maintains plant as per TSSA and Ontario Operating Engineers regulations
REQUIREMENTS :
Second Class Operating Engineer certificate / credentials
Minimum 5 years operational experience.
Secondary School Diploma
Strong analytical and technical skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts (shift starting times wll be 7:00 am and 7:00 pm)
Ability and willingness to work non-traditionnal hours (nights/weekends) and all staturory holidays as sheduled.
Ability to work overtime if necessary, including nights or weekends
Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant government regulations
PREFERRED :
Solid computer skills
Good physical health. For example; capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
