As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
Configure and implement SAP CO modules:
Cost Element Accounting (CEA)
Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
Internal Orders (IO)
Product Costing (PC)
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
Define controlling area, cost centers, profit centers, and cost elements.
Set up allocation cycles, assessments, and distributions.
Business Process Design
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP CO solutions.
Design cost flow structures and profitability models.
Collaborate with finance teams for budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
Support integration with other modules (FI, MM, SD, PP).
Testing & Deployment
Prepare functional specifications (FS) and coordinate with technical teams.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Support go-live activities and post-go-live stabilization.
Support & Maintenance
Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP CO issues.
Troubleshoot allocation errors, master data inconsistencies, and reporting issues.
Perform system enhancements and optimizations.
Reporting & Analysis
Develop and maintain reports:
Cost reports
Profitability reports
Variance analysis
Work with tools like:
SAP Report Painter
SAP BW / SAC (optional)
Provide insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✅ Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.
MBA / Finance background is a plus.
✅ Technical Skills
Strong experience in SAP CO modules:
CCA, PCA, IO, CO-PA, Product Costing
Integration knowledge with:
SAP FI (Financial Accounting)
MM (Materials Management)
SD (Sales & Distribution)
Knowledge of:
Costing methods (standard, actual costing)
Profitability analysis (account-based / costing-based)
Experience with S/4HANA CO features (preferred).
✅ Functional Expertise
Understanding of:
Cost allocation processes
Budgeting & forecasting
Variance analysis
Month-end closing activities
Familiarity with financial statements and controlling concepts.
✅ Tools & Technologies
SAP GUI / Fiori Apps
SAP S/4HANA (preferred)
Excel (advanced)
SAP BW, SAC, or reporting tools (good to have)
