About the Role
BYD Energy Storage is the world's leading manufacturer of residential and commercial battery storage systems, with over 1.5 million systems installed globally. As Sales Specialist, you will support the growth of BYD's residential product portfolio in the Netherlands and Benelux region — managing accounts, supporting partners through the sales process, and identifying new business opportunities. This is an ideal role for a commercially-minded professional with a background in solar or energy storage who wants to develop into a senior sales position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Support & Management
· Manage and grow a portfolio of existing installer and distributor accounts
· Support partners through the sales cycle: product selection, pricing, proposals, and order processing
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional communication
2. Business Development
· Identify and qualify new sales leads through industry events, networking, and outreach
· Support the onboarding of new channel partners in coordination with the Sales Manager
· Assist in developing market-specific sales materials and partner communication
3. Product & Technical Support
· Develop and maintain solid product knowledge of the BYD Battery-Box portfolio
· Support customers with basic system design guidance and product selection
· Coordinate with technical support and service teams on customer queries
4. Reporting & Administration
· Maintain CRM records: account activity, pipeline, and deal status
· Prepare regular sales reports and market updates for internal stakeholders
Requirements
· 1–3 years' experience in solar PV, energy storage, or a related B2B sales or technical sales support role
· Commercial mindset with strong customer orientation and communication skills
· Organised, detail-oriented approach to account management and reporting
· Fluent in Dutch; good English is required; German or French is a plus
· Based in or near Hoofdorp; willingness to travel within the Benelux region
