About the Opportunity
A growing organization in Morris County, NJ is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its evolving finance team. This role offers a unique blend of financial analysis, business intelligence, and accounting exposure, with visibility to leadership and involvement in key decision-making.
This is an onsite position offering long-term stability, strong benefits, and the opportunity to help build scalable financial reporting and analytics infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Contribute to financial reporting accuracy and ensure integrity of financial data
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and strategic decisions
Develop and deliver financial and operational reporting for leadership and external stakeholders
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to enhance business insights
Partner with leadership on process improvements, automation, and reporting optimization initiatives
Help strengthen financial infrastructure to support company growth
Assist with month-end close activities (~20% of the role), requiring a strong accounting foundation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field
4+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or business analytics
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals
Hands-on experience supporting or participating in the month-end close process
Advanced Excel skills and required experience with Power BI (building dashboards, reporting, and data visualization)
Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central a plus)
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
Process improvement mindset with an interest in automation and scalable reporting solutions
CPA, CMA, or similar designation is a plus

Salary Range: $80k-$100k DOE
