Salary Range - AUD $128,191 - $136,132 AUD Annual Gross.

In the role of Lead Consultant, you will own end-to-end architecture and engineering standards for critical digital platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions aligned to business goals. You will provide technical leadership across architecture, design, and engineering practices while working closely with stakeholders and delivery teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Define and own end-to-end solution architecture including API-first and microservices-based design

Drive engineering excellence through architecture governance, design reviews, and hands-on technical leadership

Architect and govern cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) implementations

Lead complex system integrations ensuring scalability, security, and resilience

Establish observability, monitoring, performance optimization, and cost governance frameworks

Define and enforce standards for data architecture, testing, and frontend design to ensure quality and usability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments and guide technical decision-making

Mentor engineering teams and promote DevOps and best engineering practices

Skills /Competencies:

Essential:

Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.

At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and cloud-based application development

Expertise in .NET, ReactJS, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)

Strong experience in microservices and API-first architecture

Proven experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices (GitLab or similar tools)

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Strong architecture, design, and problem-solving capabilities

Experience in leading design reviews and ensuring adherence to engineering standards

Preferred:

Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and multi-cloud architectures

Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, and performance tuning

Experience with frontend optimization techniques (e.g., Module Federation)

Strong understanding of data architecture (SQL and NoSQL)

Experience in large-scale enterprise or digital transformation programs

Experience working in global delivery and Agile environments.
