Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse operations, safety, employee performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Ensure consistent execution of Bunzl Daily Best Practices and procedures.
Lead daily cycle counts, activity walks, and empty-bin walks.
Drive KPI improvements and hold the team accountable for results.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of warehouse staff.
Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
Partner with HR on employee relations and performance management matters.
Optimize delivery efficiency and driver productivity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Oversee workplace safety training and assist with workers’ compensation processes.
Audit documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations including driver logs, fuel tax reports, and accident documentation.
Provide coaching and performance management.
Administer ERP reporting for performance and accuracy metrics.
Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
3–5 years of related experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of OHSA and transportation regulations.
ELD experience required.
Ability to safely lift up to 25kg to 55+ lbs. on a regular basis and work at heights of up to 26 feet.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with a hands‑on approach.
Ability to work safely in accordance with company safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
Experience with order pickers, counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and pump trucks.
